Adriatic exhibit

The indented coast of the Adriatic Sea is characterised by a great diversity of marine habitats and an abundance of plant and animal species, which are showcased on the ground floor and part of the first floor of the Aquarium. The exhibit is divided by the adaptations of organisms to different ecological conditions in the sea. Each room on the ground floor, as well as a smaller part of the first floor, presents one “rung of the sea” or a type of habitat. Discover the intertidal zone, the rocky habitats, the sandy sea floor, the seagrass meadows, the demersal communities of the deep sea and the open sea.
