EUAC (European Union of Aquarium curators) annual meeting in Valencia, Spain 26/10/09 - 01/11/09
Aquarium Pula staff also participated in the meeting with the scientific - expert lecture,"The contribution of Aquarium Pula in breeding and rearing of sea horses. Educational poster on the artificial induction of sexual maturity of European eel (Anguilla anguilla Linnaeus, 1758) was also presented.
Through their presentations, aquarium curators presented their work and results on the topic of conservation biology, new methods of treatment of animals and the application of new technologies in aquaculture.
The gathering also pointed to the alarming situation in the state of the corals in the world seas. Aquarium curators across Europe and beyond decided to organize a petition for rapid action to reduce CO2 emissions into the atmosphere. Petition wants to encourage world leaders to emergency reaction and intervention.
